About Donald
Donald was considered to be a late starter in dancing terms, having only started to attend beginner’s classes at the age of 15. He went through the normal channel of progressing up the medal grades till he was 20. From then on, he switched over to the competitive side and never looked back.
Within 2 years, he won the Champions of Tomorrow Under 35 Pre-Championship Modern Title at Blackpool.
He is well known from his friends for his dedication, efficiency and dynamism (he runs on sugar!) and will always demands and gets the best out of people he associated with. (Just ask Mel!)
Teaching and dancing aside, Donald also actively involves himself in the dancing world, the following being a list of his roles through the years:
2006 - Registered Adjudicator with the British Dance Council
adjudicating at many competitions around the country.
2014 - 2020 Public Relations Officer of the Ballroom Dancers'
Federation.
2013 - 2020 Executive Committee Member of the Ballroom Dancers'
Federation (BDF).
2007 - 2012 One of the directors of the British Dance Council (BDC).
2007 - 2012 General Secretary of the British Competitors Dancesport
Corporation (BCDC).
